This essay will explain what key criteria, skills and qualities are needed in order to be a car mechanic/ fabricator. It will also explain what it is like in the day to day life of a mechanic/ fabricator.

To become a fabricator there are many key criteria required to enter this job or career

Entry requirements

There are no specific requirements to become a fabrication engineer. However, some employers prefer you to have a qualification. However, to become a qualified fabrication engineer you need to complete an apprenticeship and gain either a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering - Fabrication (Level 4), which is the new qualification or a National Certificate in Engineering - Fabrication (Level 4), which is being replaced by the New Zealand Certificate.For this certificate, you choose to specialise in light fabrication, heavy fabrication, or steel construction.Industry training organisation Competenz oversees fabrication engineer apprenticeships. A driver's licence may also be useful

You will need to have full knowledge of metals and their properties, knowledge of how to use and care for their equipment, understanding of safety procedures, technical skills for drawing and interpreting plans, welding skills to start your fabricating career

Conclusion:
In conclusion there are any key criteria, important skills and qualities required to be a metal fabricator. Some of these are having a degree and completing NCEA level 3 in metal work. The general day to day life as a metal fabricator involves a lot of hard work, hands on, loud noises, and a lot of creativity. At the end of each day you clean all your mess up turn everything off and lock up just like you would at anything else
